Becel

Hellu! Here’s one of the two commercials for Becel butter I’ve made. The ad agency is the Malmö situated company ”Kär & Galen” and I worked close with the AD on this one, which was fun and resulted in lot’s of hours in the editing suite. We shot it on RED in a studio where we built up a kitchen with props and other stuff..

Afterwards I ingested the raw footage to RED Alert and later converted them in RED rushes and started to edit them in Final Cut. A few easy clips with timing and feeling, and later on I started the most time consuming part, breadcrumbs, markings on the board, glue from the bread and other ”fun” stuff needed to be painted away. Used various tools in After Effects and it took around 14 hours for both commercials. Very picky! When I was done with that part, I color graded it in Color where I gave it a nice light and fresh tone, warm and cosey. Increased the yellow colors, especially in the butter and overall increased the contrast. I’m happy with the end result and it was fun working on the project even though the time frame we had was so narrow (only a few days from shooting to final) which resulted in many 18 hour days and late nights. But once again, a fun project and as long as Scandvision continues to be so nice and providing me with Coca Cola and chocolate during late work hours, I’m happy! It was aired nationwide in Sweden on TV3, TV4 and Kanal 5.
