Hello! Here’s a commercial for Frittflyt I’ve graded. The material was shot on RED which I later graded in Color and I love how RED have implemented some features from RED Alert into Color 1.5 so I now can online using the native RED codec and send the project to Color and set ISO levels, color temperature, tint and so on, all in Color instead of doing it all clip by clip outside of the Final Cut Studio. Lovely! Still some things I miss though and Color 1.5 is far from how I want it, but they’re getting there and Apple Inc. is always happy to recieve good creative feedback from people who use their software on a daily basis.
Got an assignment to design, make and equip a grading studio for a production studio in Malmö and I’m really looking forward to it and It’s going to be on e of the best up to date grading/online studios in southern Sweden. Stay tuned for more on that project.
Otherwise, the grading on Frittflyt went very quickly. The material was a bit over exposed but I lowerd the ISO level and made the movie a bit warmer that the raw material was, though the client still wanted a distinct cooler blue-ish tone to contrast their red logo in the end and they goot very satisfied with the result. The comemrcial is now running all over Swedish television on TV4.
